LET’S…INTERPRET!
THE VOICE AS A TOOL TO CONVEY MESSAGES

English/French >< Italian (and more thanks to a team of native speakers covering different language combinations)

Interpreters are sometimes seen as aliens for their ability to handle several tasks at once: listening, understanding, and transferring a message in another language. Yet, it is a skill that can be mastered thanks to years of study and practice.

The interpreting techniques to be adopted may change depending on the audience involved, the budget and the location, but these are always aimed at the success of your event.

LIASON INTERPRETING

To seal an important deal or agreement it is advisable to engage the services of a professional if you do not speak the same language as your established or potential customer.

Do not turn down professional assistance in the most decisive moments for your company.

With the right know-how and professionalism, I will help you win (or keep) your most coveted customers.

Even at 4 °C in a refrigerated room, like when I worked as an interpreter during a visit to a renowned gorgonzola cheese factory. Or surrounded by prestigious heady fragrances to discover the most exclusive olfactory notes.

CONSECUTIVE INTERPRETING

All it takes is a pad and a pen to start taking notes and deliver a message in another language. An interpreting technique that proves useful during press conferences or short meetings to avoid the rental costs of simultaneous interpreting booth.

However, it must be taken into account that the time will be somewhat diluted due to the interpretation taking place after the speaker.

The presentation of a new fragrance or eyewear collection, or even the official inauguration speech by a new CEO, may be the right time to opt for this type of technique.

*In this photo I was at the Cinema Anteo in Milan, an excellent location for your events.

WHISPERED INTERPRETING

You are holding a meeting or event and only a few participants need an interpreting service. All you need is a chair and my voice to convey your content! The translation will be whispered into the ears of those few people who need the service without disturbing the rest of the participants. A good overview of the stage or the slides will definitely help the interpreter's work.

At the Polytechnic Institute in Milan, for example, I had the privilege of following the only foreign guest at an interesting seminar on new automotive technologies.

SIMULTANEOUS INTERPRETING

If the number of people needing to listen to your messages in another language becomes relatively large, it is time to rent a booth or a guided tour system (bidule) to optimise time and streamline communication.

The interpreter translates speeches given at conferences, meetings, seminars, or workshops in real time, accurately and in detail.

The same service is provided in case you would like to accompany customers on a company tour to discover your production processes!

For instance, I have been cooperating with a company in the furniture industry for over ten years, attending all the meetings preceding the Milan Design Week and all training sessions for salespeople and architects.

TRADE FAIRS AND EVENTS

Are you looking for standing and proactivity to interact with potential and well-established customers?

Having worked in the world of trade fairs since the 2000s allows me to get to know the commercial aspects, as well as the merely linguistic ones related to technical and specialist terminology.

Kindness, professionalism, and self-assurance complete the perfect image of the interpreter working at trade fairs and events lasting only a few days during which you need to perform at your best and really demonstrate your forte.

Of the various fields in which I find myself working, leather goods has become one of my main specialties.

REMOTE INTERPRETING (rsi)

The Covid pandemic has taught us to adapt to ever-changing and evolving situations. Some platforms, such as Zoom, come to the rescue of interpreters, allowing them to work remotely as if they were in person.

This is a viable alternative in the case of events abroad for which interpreters are not expected to travel or for (perhaps short) meetings that need to be conducted remotely due to convenience or health/organisational reasons.

With all the necessary arrangements to ensure a quality service even remotely, it will be just like having me right by your side.

For several months, I provided a remote interpreting service for a pharmaceutical company during live streaming meetings with the CEO and I translated his motivational speeches to his employees.

I HAVE BEEN MANAGING VARIOUS WORK SITUATIONS SINCE 2005:

  • Trade fairs

  • Conventions and conferences

  • Seminars

  • Workshops

  • Press conferences

  • Tastings

  • Escorting TV and film crews

  • Institutional meetings

  • Fashion presentations

  • Production plant tours

  • Training courses for psychologists

  • Focus groups

  • Motivational and specialist speeches

  • Civil marriages

LENDING MY VOICE TO...

  • Ministers, mayors, and councillors

  • CEOs of major multinationals

  • Internationally renowned architects and designers

  • Psychiatrists

  • Actors and mentors

  • Scientists and doctors

More interpreters are needed? Several language combinations in the same event?

I can be your team leader and arrange the necessary team resources while also contacting rental companies for simultaneous interpreting equipment and facilities.
